Although I was born in Birmingham, my family moved to North Devon when I was very young and I am grateful that I got to grow up in Braunton. I studied Theology at Exeter University and completed a PGCE; but after teaching part-time in a secondary school for just one year, I quickly realised teaching wasn’t for me. I came to United Church Ferndown in November 1999 to be the Children’s and Youth Pastor and I’m still here! I really enjoy my job because of the variety of ages I work with and the variety of settings. Because I have been here a long time, it means that I have the privilege of being involved in many children’s lives; seeing them grow up and flourish. I love being part of community.
I have a daughter called Daisy and a crazy dog called Biggles. When I’m not working I enjoy being with my family, shopping, walking the dog, going out for coffee and cake and playing mindless games on my iPad.
