Although I was born in Birmingham, I grew up in North Devon. I read Theology at Exeter University and completed a PGCE; but after a year teaching in a secondary school, I realised teaching wasn’t for me and I came to United Church Ferndown in November 1999 to be the children’s and youth worker. The following year I married Elliot who now works for AGEAS and we have a lovely daughter called Daisy and a crazy dog named Biggles. I really enjoy my job, especially the variety of ages. Being here a long time means I have had the privilege of being part of many children’s lives; seeing them grow up and develop. When I’m not working I enjoy being with my family, shopping, growing veggies, reading (especially Agatha Christie), and playing mindless games on the iPad!
