Discipleship Explored is a course designed to give you the time and space to think about what it really means to live a Christian life.
Starting on the 11th October 2017 we will be working through Paul’s letter to the Philippians and looking at questions such as: Are you content in every situation? Are you sure of your salvation? Are you able to say with conviction; “To me, to live is Christ and to die is gain”?
Paul’s letter is full of challenge and reassurance, particularly for those who, like the Philippians themselves, are just beginning the Christian life. Discipleship Explored is an eight-session exploration of what it means to be a whole-hearted disciple of Jesus Christ.
What will we cover?
Each session will start at 7.30pm with tea or coffee followed by a Bible study, short 10-minute DVD and finish with a group discussion by 9.00pm. In addition, everyone will be given a Discipleship Explored Handbook that will give give group members a Bible-reading plan for the week.
The eight sessions that we will cover will help us to discover through Philippians how to know Christ, be confident in Him, content in our Christian faith and stand together in Christ. We’ll also consider how we are transformed by Christ, can rejoice in our faith and live a Christian life.
What do I do next?
It’s simple; everyone is welcome so all that you need to do at this stage is to put the date in your diary or on your calendar for the next few Wednesday evenings and then let Brian know that you’re coming. My contact details are in the Church Directory.
